REPORT: Trump Threatened to Ditch Israel, Let Them Fight Iran Alone
Donald Trump has a chance to save his presidency.
The U.S. Commander-in-Chief reportedly told Benjamin Netanyahu to “be careful” or Israel may “very soon” be on its own last weekend, making clear to the belligerent Israeli prime minister that he should not continue to escalate the war with Iran. News of Trump’s warning comes days after Israel pressed on with its plan to hijack the president’s push for peace by bombing Lebanon against the White House’s wishes.
“I said, ‘Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon,'” Trump recalled to Axios on Monday. He has also called Netanyahu “f*cking crazy,” which is an understatement.
Threatening to cut off America’s support for Israel is the only way to get the Israelis under control. Ronald Reagan did it in 1982, and Israel stopped its bombings as a result. Trump must muster up the courage to do the same. Otherwise, our country will remain helplessly entrenched in this war for as long as Netanyahu wants.
