TONIGHT: Trump to Address Nation With “Important” Iran Update
Donald Trump will address the nation at 9 PM tonight to deliver an “important update” on the Iran War, the White House announced on Tuesday.
The speech will likely seek to clarify the status, goals, and timeline of Operation Epic Fury. The administration’s messaging has varied in recent days, ranging from yesterday’s prediction that the U.S. will leave Iran “within two or three weeks” to Trump saying the war will end when he “feels it in his bones.” This week, the president has said that stopping the Iranians from developing a nuclear weapon is his only goal, and that he may end the war without securing the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
