James Comey Indicted Again, This Time Over Seashell Post
Remember this Instagram post from James Comey? The image shows a collection of seashells spelling “86 47.” Comey may spend years in prison for sharing it.
A federal grand jury indicted the former FBI Director over his seashell photo on Tuesday, accusing him of “knowingly and willfully making a threat to take the life of and to inflict bodily harm upon the president of the United States” by making the post. The number “86” is restaurant industry slang for getting rid of something, and officials believe “86 47” was Comey’s way of saying someone should “get rid” of Donald Trump.
The FBI has given this case careful consideration. Kash Patel revealed on Tuesday that the Bureau has spent nearly a year investigating the shells. This is Comey’s second indictment of the Trump administration. He could spend a decade behind bars.
